Class A NTT CDL (HotShot)
Intended Audience
*available to corporate clients
This program is for drivers who need a Class A CDL without operating tractor-trailers. It is intended for industries such as construction, agriculture, oilfield, military, and vocational fleets that use gooseneck, pintle hook, or bumper-pull trailers instead of a fifth-wheel connection.
Class A NTT CDL (HotShot)
A Class A NTT CDL (also known as a Hotshot CDL or Class A with an “O” restriction) is intended for drivers operating heavy-duty combination vehicles without a fifth-wheel connection. This license applies to vehicles with a gross combination weight rating over 26,001 pounds and trailers exceeding 10,000 pounds, such as medium-duty truck and trailer combinations, gooseneck or pintle-hook setups, and specialized vocational or military-style vehicles. While it specifically excludes traditional tractor-trailers, it still requires drivers to meet all Class A CDL training and testing standards to ensure safe and compliant operation.
