The ELDT requirements were established by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) 49 CFR Part 380 Subpart F to improve the training standards for individuals seeking to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for the first time or upgrade their existing CDL.
